Das “Herz” von Taize. Hier treffen sich alle 3x am Tag (Vor dem Frühstück, vor dem Mitagessen und nach dem Abendbrot) zum gemeinsamen Gebet.

In der Kirch gibt es keine Stühle oder ähnliches, man sitzt also während der Gottesdienste auf dem Boden. Die Kirche ist riesig: Über Ostern muss sie teilweise bis zu 13.000 Besucher fassen. Dies wird durch “zuschaltbare” Räume ermöglicht, die bei niedrigeren Besucherzahlen durch Jalousien abgetrennt werden. Ausgerichtet ist die Kirche auf das Pult der Bibellesung von dem ein mit Blumen gesäumter Gang, indem die Brüder sitzen, zum Altar führt.
